Thank you for signing up at classwares.com. Classwares is a teacher-to-teacher marketplace for classroom resources, and it’s coming together fast.
First, a little about me. I’ve been developing software for 40 years, and I’ve built enterprise-grade systems for Fortune 500 companies and billion-dollar startups for the last two decades. I build systems that handle millions of users per day — systems secure enough to become critical infrastructure in banks.
My wife taught for almost 18 years and has been a teacher-creator for 14 more, so I’ve heard the problems teachers face every night for decades. Many times I offered to build a better system, but until recently, it felt like a David-versus-Goliath story with no hope of success. I’m sure many of you know what’s changed.
Classwares had already been started as a proof of concept, so when the opportunity came around, I already had a head start. And that’s important to understand, because Classwares is not just demo code. It’s a working system, and we’re adding to it every day. We’re already bringing in beta testers, and improvements land on our test site every single day. We are on course to launch in days or weeks, not months or years.
Here’s a first look at the store.
This is a real, working site with real structure underneath. Real teacher-sellers are already beta testing it and giving us feedback as they go, so it gets better every day.
We expect to open to everyone in the coming weeks.
